Meals
Meals for the retreat will be provided by local caterers who can accommodate most any dietary restrictions/requests (celiac, lactose intolerant, diabetic, etc.). Therefore, it’s important that you let us know asap if you fall into any of these categories. If we have a Vegan guest, for example, we can remove the cheese from the risotto.
Other than the dinners there are sufficient choices for lunch and breakfast. We have set up the lunches so that participants can take them with if we decide to take an “off-site” lunch. Items for the lunches can/will be packed in Tupperware and sealable Aluminum type containers allowing the guests to take the buffet to a destination or build sandwiches or salads to go. Below is a tentative schedule of meals.
Participants may also wish to bring their own culinary fare for snacks between meals (getting off the island requires a ferry ride to the mainland–so it’s better to come prepared). But keep in mind that since this is a state park, anything we bring on the island must be taken off when it comes time to leave.
